My name is Merideth, and my name is Cole! We are the soon to be Deals. Our story is a little unique! Well...kind of. We met on Hinge, the dating app. I (Merideth) had downloaded it as a joke mostly, maybe to get a coffee date out of it. And I (Cole) was just looking for a date or two. I (M) wasn't getting any matches until this super adorable guy responded to my prompt. I had pictures of myself in my cycling kit and said I'll bet you can't guess my sport and he responded let me guess...water polo. I thought it was cute and clever and so I responded. We hit it off pretty quick and had good conversations. We both like Formula 1, racing and coffee! On our first date, we got coffee and then went to the train museum in San Angelo, TX. I think we both knew this one was going to be different. On the second date (the next day) he told me he loved me. It was a slip of the tongue, but sincere. Where he proposed was very sweet and special. It was where Nonnie and I used to take picnics in the bed of the old pickup with a quilt. It was perfect and I can't wait to be his wife! We are so grateful that God blessed us with each other when he did!
I (C) had decided to delete Hinge until I saw her profile. I thought she was cute and noticed she liked Formula 1! In one of the pictures she had on her profile, she was wearing her cycling kit and the caption said, “I’ll bet you can’t guess my sport” to which I confidently replied, “let me guess… water polo?” She was smitten, swept off her feet, head over heels for me! We began texting, calling and FaceTiming posthaste! After about a week, she told me she was coming down to San Angelo to see her friend. I took that as an opportunity to ask her out on a date! She said yes, and we had a spectacular time… at a train museum. We also got coffee, went to Target and Cavender’s, but the train museum is what mattered! After that first date, I knew she was going to be different, that she was going to be the one. 2 weeks later, I met her family, and about a month after that… I proposed. I took her to the spot her Nonnie would take her for picnics. It was amazing, so amazing in fact, she wears her ring 24/7, literally. The Lord brought us together at the perfect time and I am forever thankful He did. I can’t wait to be the husband she deserves and for the many adventures the Lord has in store for us.
